It is noteworthy that the National Population Commission (NPC) online recruitment portal, which had been open since October 31, 2022, was closed on December 28.

With the portal now closed, the next step in the recruitment process is the shortlisting of successful candidates for the next step, which is why we have provided you with the NPC shortlisted candidates PDF file in this post.



Remember that the NPC is recruiting qualified candidates in a bid to recruit about 2 million ad-hoc staff for the 2023 housing census exercise coming up in April 2023.

Following your application on the Census Recruitment Portal, you have been shortlisted as a member of the Census Specialized Workforce ahead of the 2023 Population and Housing Census. You are expected to do the following:

1. Fill this form to indicate your availability by clicking on the button below

When you visit the website, you are expected to register if you have not done so already. Then scroll down and click on Get Started to proceed with the course.

What is the special workforce and facilitators screening all about and the requirements?

You’re expected to answer the following questions in three minutes, which are: “Which of the following is not an input device?” “Which of the following groups consists of computer input devices?” “What is the meaning of CPU?” “What is the full meaning of PDA?” and which organization is responsible for conducting census in Nigeria?

Each of the five questions is for 20 marks, so the total is 100 marks.



When you finish answering the questions and click on submit, it will automatically be marked while providing your result.

What happens after an applicant has completed their screening at the NPC state office?

    I applied for the position of a supervisor, but from what I heard that the facilitators will be used as supervisors after their training, does it mean those that applied as supervisors will not be shortlisted again? I need more clarification.

    • It’s not true, it’s wide of the mark. Facilitators are facilitators and supervisors are supervisors, they don’t have the same work during the census.

      So, as soon as the special workforce and facilitators are done with their training, the other categories will be called upon.

  23. I have gone for the screening, but the link for visual training was not sent to either mail or as sms. Can I still go for contact training or does it mean have been disqualified. Although my status has changed from pending to approved and my account details has supplied

    • Shortlisting is not done based on the qualifications you possess.

      As soon as the special workforce and facilitators conclude their training, other categories will be announced.

  28. I applied online since December 8 and showed completed. But I clicked continue registration today he ask me to take my picture and referee phone number which have done before. I applied in Niger State. I hope my application is still Valid.

  31. Thank you for this timely information. My dilemma is, after being shortlisted for Special Workforce, I tried but couldn’t enroll in the learning portal to partake the screening exercise. Does this mean I have been disqualified?

      • Please I need my status to be approve and shortlist for npc adhoc staff recruitment 2023 census I score online training 80 ,my status still remain pending no sms or mail for physical training,l went to my LGA today for screening and they said they have been closed for special workforce and facilitor training and I don’t understand please help, note I apply for special workforce and facilitor in MKPAt enin,Akwa ibom state Nigeria my ID No: NPC-CE-7063646587
