The Department of Computer Science at the University of San Francisco is providing a $55 application fee waiver for all international students pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science when you register and attend their information session on January 8, 2024, at 9:30 AM PST.



This University of San Francisco MSCS application waiver will only work for you when you attend the information session, which will be held online on Zoom.

The Department of Computer Science at the University of San Francisco offer two pathways to the Master’s in Computer Science, a two-year program for students with formal Computer Science training and a three-year program for non-majors. Graduates from masters programs are well prepared for positions in industry or to continue their studies at a PhD program.



To be eligible to apply to the Master’s in Computer Science at the University of San Francisco, you must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or a similar field. International applicants with three-year bachelor’s degrees are accepted into the program, and admission does not strictly require a certain GPA.

Applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a scale of 4.0 have more competitive applications and a better chance of being awarded a scholarship.



To apply, you must prove through prerequisites that you have a strong aptitude for Computer Science coursework if you are an applicant without a Computer Science degree. If you don’t fit these requirements, you should consider applying to their three-year Master’s in Computer Science Bridge program.

The GRE general examination is required. The quantitative score is the most important factor for the program. The quantitative GRE score average is 164. Applications with a quantitative score of less than 155 are rarely competitive.



The GRE requirement may be waived for applicants with five or more years of experience as a software engineer. Please begin an online application, upload your resume and college-level transcript(s), and then send an email to computerscience@usfca.edu to be considered for a GRE waiver.
