The road to receiving an application fee waiver at the University of Idaho involves two steps. Firstly, you must submit a Pre-Screening Application; if successful, your fee will be waived. The second step is to submit the formal admission application to the University of Idaho Graduate School.

Pre-Screening Application

To start the process of receiving an application fee waiver at the University of Idaho, you must send an email to the Department of Chemistry at [email protected]. To start the process, click on below “APPLY NOW” button to download the Pre-Screening and Application Fee Waiver Form PDF file, which you must fill. To be attached to the email are, unofficial academic transcripts and the filled application fee waiver form. Before submitting, you must merge the application and transcripts into 1 pdf document, and save the pdf file as Lastname, Firstname Middle initial(s)-Semester Year (eg. Brown, Paul T O-Spring 2025.pdf). If you’re selected, the department of Chemistry will pay for your application fee.

Formal Application

The applicants that will be selected in the pre-screening will be notified by email and encouraged to submit the formal admission application to the University of Idaho Graduate School. If you’re applying for Spring 2025 admission, you will be notified on September 15, 2024 if you’re granted the waiver. For the applicants applying for the Fall 2025 session, your waiver notification message will be sent on February 1, 2025. Don’t forget to review the requirements of admission to the programs.
