NECO Timetable 2023 for SS3 is finally released. In this post, we are going to reveal to you the full NECO 2023 timetable, dates, paper codes, paper titles and subjects, durations and times of the examination.

According to the National Examinations Council (NECO), the June/July 2023 SSCE internal examination will start on Monday, July 3, 2023 and end on Friday, August 11, 2023.

This NECO timetable for 2023 covers every subject schedule and gives SS3 students plenty of time to study for their exams. By remaining up to date with the NECO Timetable 2023, you can stay ahead of it in your study and increase your chances of exam success.



SSCE which stands for Senior School Certificate Examination are internal examinations for SS3 students who are eligible candidates. The SSCE covers different main subjects which includes English and Mathematics along with other elective subjects. These exams are written once every year and is used to determine students’ capacity and identify their adequacy before they go into the higher institution.

NECO INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCHOOLS AND CANDIDATES

  1. Where the time on the question paper differs from the time on this timetable, the time on the question paper should be strictly adhered to
  2. For Physical Education and Auto Mechanics Practical Paper I; French, Music and Arabic Paper IV, the specific venues for the examination should be confirmed from NECO state offices
  3. Practical in Sciences, Stenography, Computer Studies and Data Processing can be in sets where the number of candidates is large and the equipment cannot go round
  4. Visual Arts Paper IV [Creative Design] should be given to candidates at least one week before the examination date
  5. Welding & Fabrication, Engineering Craft Practice should be given to candidates at least three weeks before the examination date
  6. Dyeing and Bleaching 1B, Photograph 1B, Painting and Decoration 1B, Printing Craft Practice 1B, Leather Goods Manufacturing and Repair 1B, should be given to candidates at least two weeks before the examination date
  7. Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Edo, Efik and Ibibio) include Literature aspect
  8. Albinos and blind candidates are to be allowed 30 extra minutes at the end of each subject
  9. Blind candidates must make use of the NECO supplied OBR customized braille sheet for the examination
  10. Use of scientific calculator is allowed
  11. Bringing into the examination hall electronic communication gadgets (Programmable Calculators, Mobile Phones, Ipads, Tablets, Smart Wrist Watches/Glasses/Pens etc) are strictly prohibited
  12. Candidates who do not sit for Practical (Paper 1) will not have result in the subject
